Portable XRF Analysis

XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometry) analysis is a Non-Destructive method of performing semi-quantitative chemical analysis of most metals and alloys.

By bombarding a material with x-rays at the atomic level, certain electrons are knocked out of their orbit and the resultant wavelength, energy and intensity that are emitted are uniquely specific to each element.  These individual attributes are then captured by the instrument, analyzed and reported as the materials compositional makeup.

XFR is ideally suited for positive material identification (PMI) and material verification of components and structures in-house and in the field.

Parts can be sent to our laboratory for testing, or the portability of the unit makes it perfect for on site materials analysis at your facility.

XRF analysis is a fast and reliable method for determining material compositions in foundries, petrochemical and paper plants, recycling facilities, power plants or manufacturing facilities. It is a proven and convenient method used to verify materials, separate material mix-ups, and to identify and classify unknown materials.
